Family Found in Car Submerged in River: A Cold Case Breakthrough

A deeply unsettling discovery has been made in the Columbia River Gorge, where a submerged vehicle believed to be connected to the long-missing Martin family has been recovered. The car was located about 50 feet underwater near Cascade Locks, Oregon.

Divers used specialized equipment to unearth the vehicle, uncovering parts including the chassis, rear axle, and engine. These have been taken for detailed examination to help determine the circumstances surrounding the family’s disappearance.

The Martin family’s vanishing decades ago has remained one of Oregon’s most baffling mysteries. After their disappearance, the bodies of two daughters were found downstream, but the parents and the remaining daughter were never located.
