The Fishing Trip That Hooked the Wrong Catch

A man thought he was being clever when he told his wife he’d been invited on a week-long fishing trip with his boss. He said it was a great chance for a promotion — a trip he simply couldn’t refuse.

He asked her to pack his clothes, his fishing rod, tackle box, and, most importantly, his new blue silk pajamas. The wife didn’t question it out loud, but something about his story didn’t quite add up. Still, she smiled, packed everything, and wished him a “good trip.”

A week later, the man returned home, cheerful and full of tall tales. He bragged about the “huge fish” he caught — salmon, bluegill, even swordfish — and how much fun he’d had. But then he stopped and frowned.

“By the way,” he asked, “why didn’t you pack my blue silk pajamas like I told you?”

The wife smirked, crossed her arms, and said calmly:
“Oh, I did. I tucked them right inside your tackle box.”

That’s when the man’s smile disappeared faster than a fish on a broken line. 🎣
